Gulfood : première participation mauricienne à la foire de Dubaï

En effet, depuis les dernières années, lu0026rsquo;organisme encourageu0026nbsp;les exportateurs mauriciens à chercher de nouvelles opportunités sur les marchés émergents. La participation à la foire u003cemu003eWorld of Perishablesu003c/emu003e à Dubaï et des événements du0026rsquo;affaires qui se sont tenus à Dubaï, Bahreïn etu0026nbsp;la Turquie ont démontré un intéressant potentiel du0026rsquo;exportation.u003c/pu003eu003cpu003eu003cemu003eGulfoodu003c/emu003e représente une plateforme idéale pour les exportateurs mauriciens qui veulent pénétrer les marchés du Proche Orient, de lu0026rsquo;Afrique du Nord et de lu0026rsquo;Asie du Sud. En 2015, la foire a attiré quelque 4 800 exposants de 120 pays et quelque 85 000 visiteurs de 156 pays. Tous les secteurs de lu0026rsquo;agro-industrie sont représentés à travers les produits du0026rsquo;épicerie, produits frais, aliments secs et congelés, produitsu0026nbsp;alimentaires semi-transformés, ingrédients, aliments organiques, viandes, produits laitiers et boissons alcoolisées.u003c/pu003eu003cpu003eCette foire est lu0026rsquo;occasion de positionner Maurice comme une destination de source fiable pour des produits de qualité, surtout avec les développements majeurs prévus dans la région du Golfe, dont la u003cemu003eWorld Expo 2020u003c/emu003e et la u003cemu003eFIFA World Cup 2022u003c/emu003e qui seront accueillies par Dubaï et Qatar respectivement.u003c/pu003eu003cpu003eu003cstrongu003eLes exportations agricolesu003c/strongu003eu003c/pu003eu003cpu003eLes produits agricoles sont principalement exportés vers le marché européen, où le Royaume-Uni (22 %), lu0026rsquo;Italie (20,6 %) et la France (16 %) ont été les trois principaux marchés en 2014. Les exportations vers les marchés traditionnels ont connu une légère baisse de 2 % de 2013 à 2014.u003c/pu003eu003cpu003eLes exportations vers le Moyen-Orient étaient de Rs 189 millions en 2014, avec Israël en tête de liste (29 %) suivi de lu0026rsquo;Arabie Saoudite (21 %), du0026rsquo;Oman (18 %), des Émirats arabes unis (15 %) et du0026rsquo;Egypte (11 %). Les principaux produits exportés étaient les sucres spéciaux (40%), de la nourriture pour poisson (14 %), du caféu0026nbsp;décaféiné (9 %), du thon transformé (6 %) et du0026rsquo;autres produits tels
