Managing Director : Mrs Pascale Siew

FOUNDED by Pascale Siew in 1993, Éditions VIZAVI seeks to share, transmit and promote the rich natural, historical, and artistic heritage of multicultural Mauritius. Focusing primarily on Mauritius, VIZAVI also provides insights into the other islands of the Indian Ocean.

Mauritian culture is also at the heart of VIZAVI’s Young Readers List, including the popular best-seller “Adventures of Tikulu” series. These books recount the various escapades of the dreadlocked young hero and his friends traveling around Mauritius and the Indian Ocean region.

VIZAVI has published over 100 titles ranging from coffee-table books, children picture books and educational card games for kids. The company has also developed a series of activity booklets for 8 to 12-year old kids on environmental issues to raise their awareness on local ecosystems. Most titles are available in English and French.

For almost thirty years, the publishing house has run a program of engagement in social activities with local schools and community organizations to promote reading and a love of books. VIZAVI is aware of iliteracy issues and regularly supports children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

In October 2015, Éditions VIZAVI was awarded the ‘Made in Moris’ label in recognition of its pioneering work promoting Mauritian culture and heritage.
