ENL AGRI drives the agro-industrial industries of ENL Group and was incorporated on 14 February 2011. With the support of around 110 employees, it farms some 15, 000 acres of land in the Centre and South of Mauritius, growing mainly sugar cane. It currently ranks third among the largest sugar cane growers in the country and accounts for up to 10% of the national sugar production.
Over the years, ENL Agri has crafted a successful diversification strategy which supports Mauritius’s ambition for self-sufficiency in food products. The company derives up to 40% of its revenue from food crops (1600 tons), chicken farming (3200 tons), ornamental plants and related service.
ENL Agri is also a contract-farmer for Eclosia, market leader in the transformation and distribution of food products. Eclosia is a historical associate of the ENL group and its product range includes chicken, canned and raw vegetables, fl our and animal feed as well as a large selection of dairy products and consumer packaged goods.
