Created in 1987, L’Atelier Hélène de Senneville is an art and craft business, with more than 30 years of savoir-faire. They are a team of 6 women, united for many years to work on artistic projects as well as handcrafted products such as posters, postcards, decorated ceramics and porcelains, Serigraphs, paper or canvas paintings and accessories.

L’Atelier Hélène de Senneville’s specialty is to design a creative concept, to make it possible to sample it, to evaluate its commercial impact but also to make sure of its lasting virtues, to take care of its presentation and to present it in several ways and mediums such as posters, postcards, ceramics, textile, porcelain, paper, canvas and so on. Each technique is interesting for Hélène de Senneville.

Three years ago, the latter moved her business to Petit Raffray and built a workshop in her home garden. The workshop includes works with ceramics that she shapes by hand. Decorations are applied on top as per Mauritian motifs, local traditions or personalized subjects at the request of customers. The clientele comprises travellers passing through, hoteliers and Mauritians who are fond of their island. Her aim since 34 years is to represent the flavour, the places and the elements of the island in order to share it with all kinds of people.

With her experience in derivative products she also works for other clients outside Mauritius who order their memories or experiences that she translates into her own unique style. She is able to adapt to the demand of different styles and to propose concepts.
