The SEMDEX and the SEMTRI gained 0.34% and 0.51% respectively at the end of the days under review (4-11 July 2016).u003c/strongu003eu003c/pu003eu003cpu003eThe Total Return Index, SEMTRI, closed the session of Monday 11 July 2016 at 5,999.99 points against 5,969.67 points a week earlier. The All-share index, SEMDEX, closed the same session at 1,757.05 points, gaining 5.93 points in one week. The SEM-10 Index, which comprises the ten largest and most liquid stocks, closed at 339.36 points. The SEM sustainability index, SEMSI, ended the same day at 99.88 points. The market capitalisation stood at Rs 190.64 billion at market close on Monday.u003c/pu003eu003cpu003eTotal transactions during the week amounted to Rs 188.3 million. The top five traded securities were: MCB Group Ltd (MCBG), SBM Holdings Ltd (SBMH), Rogers u0026amp; Co. Ltd (ROGE), Terra Mauricia Ltd (TERA) and Sanlam Africa Real Estate Investments Ltd (SARE). They were exchanged for a total value of Rs 119.5 million, Rs 17.6 million, Rs 11.5 million, Rs 9.8 million and Rs 6.4 million respectively. The shares of MCBG, SBMH, ROGE, TERA and SARE closed at Rs 212.50, Rs 0.63, Rs 28.45, Rs 30.50 and USD 4.50 on Monday 11 July 2016.u003c/pu003eu003cpu003eAn analysis of the evolution of the prices of listed stocks indicates that out of the 62 stocks figuring on the Official List, 12 moved up during the week, 42 remained stable and 8 went down.
