SEMTRI reaches its highest level

Since the start of 2017, the SEMTRI has achieved a growth of 11.96%. The SEMDEX ended the same session at 2,016.94 points. On a year-to-date basis, the SEMDEX has grown by 11.53%. The SEM-10 Index, which comprises the ten largest and most liquid stocks, closed at 391.35 points. The SEM sustainability index, SEMSI, ended the same day at 106.24 points. The total market capitalisation of the SEM-ASI constituents stood at a record level of Rs 368.5 billion at market close on Friday.u003c/pu003eu003cpu003eTotal transactions amounted to Rs 315.7 million during the week. The top five trading securities were: MCB Group Ltd (MCBG), CIM Financial Services Ltd (CIM), SBM Holdings Ltd (SBMH), ENL Land Ltd and Alteo Ltd. They were exchanged for a total value of Rs 175 million, Rs 51.6 million, Rs 19.5 million, Rs 11.3 million and Rs 10.4 million respectively. The shares of MCBG, CIM, SBMH, ENL Land and Alteo closed at Rs 228.75, Rs 8.48, Rs 7.60, Rs 46.95 and Rs 32.75 on Friday 28 April 2017.u003c/pu003eu003cpu003eAn analysis of the evolution of the prices of listed stocks indicates that out of the 64 stocks figuring on the Official List, 16 moved up during the week, 34 remained stable and 14 went down.
