Mari Gajak is a BrandActiv brand launched in 2018 to address the growing demand of local frozen snacks in Mauritius.

BrandActiv, an IBL Group company, specialises in commercializing a wide variety of fast-moving consumer goods in Mauritius, Madagascar and Seychelles. The commercial activity is split into 3 business categories, namely Food & Beverage, Frozen & Chilled and Personal & Home Care and the company employs around 340 people.

The selection of frozen and chilled foods covers an extensive array of products, from frozen meats to seafood, vegetables, ice cream and dairy products. BrandActiv markets and distributes over 135 brands in three business categories mentioned above, where specialised teams work towards the company’s priority: Bringing life to brands. The brand Mari Gajak has been carefully crafted, from a distinctive packaging to stand out from competition, emphasizing on manufacturing quality with an HACCP certified facility following strict hygiene norms. The brand is also a proud member of the Made in Moris family and is Halal certified.

Furthermore, the manufacturing process has been partly mechanized to further answer the growing demand on the market.

The ambition is to propose products made from recipes elaborated with ingredients that give our products its unique taste while conserving the local touch and ‘savoir faire’. Innovation is also at the essence of development with the introduction of an automated manufacturing process whilst keeping the artisanal touch.
