Mauritius Oil Refineries Ltd (MOROIL) started its operations in 1968, the same year Mauritius gained its independence. MOROIL’s objective from the outset was to provide the Mauritian population with locally refined and packaged edible oils that meet the highest international standards at competitive prices. 

MOROIL has always been faithful to this commitment made more than 50 years ago while ensuring a culture of continuous improvement of its practices and operations. Certified MSB and HACCP, MOROIL produces oils with an assurance of quality and continuity of supply that has earned the trust and loyalty of many consumers, distributors and professional users. 

MOROIL’s main activities include the refining of crude oils, packaging and marketing of finished products. The business offers in addition to its range of vegetable oils, a selection of quality food products from various countries, known for their food industry as well as for their gastronomy. 

MOROIL is an innovative business having more than 160 employees, which is also interested in the transition to the circular economy and more sustainable production methods. Thus, the company is working towards the reduction of plastic packaging and is conducting projects in this direction with its partners.
