The two companies gear themselves up through joint collaboration to bring superior networking technologies and high class customer service to resellers in Mauritius.

Provide quality solutions and services to customers in Mauritius and throughout the region. This is the objective that led to a collaboration between Comztek Mauritius and Cisco. The relationship between the two companies, built upon a historically and mutually beneficial business partnership, aims at ramping significantly in 2014.

Comztek Mauritius and Cisco have set specific and various strategic plans to provide better services to customers in the networking technologies field. “African companies face numerous challenges that include the ability to service their customers, reduce time for deliveries, and the ever present skills dearth that continues to plague our continent,” observes VrigeshFutta, Account Manager at Comztek Africa. “Within our own business, we have managed to overcome many of these challenges as a result of the fact that we are a member of a global company, namely our parent company Westcon, and subsequently tap into a network of vendor relationships, skills and expertise that extend far beyond our own borders,” he adds.

According to Vrigesh Futta, Comztek Africa in Mauritius has been able to benefit fully from the advantages of being part of a global distribution house in ensuring that its reseller customers can tap into superior technical skills and on the ground assistance to support projects. This lines up with the company’s vision of being a value-added distributor across the region.

The company is able to meet the stock requirements of customers due to its all-embracing network of warehouses, relationships with vendors, proven understanding of logistics, in-country relationships and knowledge of every region’s clearance needs. “Looking ahead, we intend to leverage all the aforementioned business differentiators with particular reference to our delivery of Cisco products. We also aim at working with our local resellers to ensure that they can drive these solutions to market. To this end, we have hosted Cisco boot camps – with more to follow – that provide local businesses with the necessary skills and information they need to better deliver Cisco solutions,” Vrigesh Futta points out.

The Cisco-Comztek partnership is also planning an official launch event that will cater its reseller customers with a full synopsis of the vendor’s product portfolio and highlight synergies and potential opportunities they may deem relevant for their customers. The dedicated team of experienced Cisco personnel from across the globe and the Comztek team also intend to help customers with business skills, marketing and sales services. “At Comztek, we aim at closely aligning ourselves with our resellers in order to provide them with the support they need to grow their Cisco business. We hope to achieve this by acting as an extension of their teams and providing support where the skills may be lacking with their own businesses,” Vrigesh Futta explains.

The growing need for Cisco products in the region is presently fueling the demand for skills to assist in designing, implementing and supporting the Cisco solution portfolios. “Interest in Cisco is definitely growing, specifically around the fact that the company has announced its intention to be a 100% Cloud-based business via the Cisco Meraki Cloud range. Unification of business processes, video, VoIP, Webex services and free Jabber, by way of its Cisco BE6K virtualized offering, is also setting the standard in convergence and leading the way in next generation networking,” Vrigesh Futta says.

Comztek Africa, a member of the Westcon Group, boasts today a regional network across Southern and Eastern Africa, with offices in Namibia, Zambia, Kenya, Mauritius, and a base in Johannesburg for the SADC Team.
