CREATED in 2017, Taste Buddies is a street food tour company offering an immersion into Mauritian history and culture, through the island’s most famous culinary specialities.

First of its kind in Mauritius, the Port Louis Street Food Tour embarks groups of 8 participants on an adventure across the capital, where they will taste the local street cuisine and meet a bunch of friendly locals, who have many stories to tell and anecdotes to share. The 3-hour walking tour teaches visitors about the great historical periods having shaped the island, inviting them to embrace our Mauritian heritage by tasting a variety of typical street foods and drinks. Our two experienced tour guides know just the right way to make this experience a
memorable one!

The Port Louis Street Food Tour presents an opportunity to discover a selection of exciting places and treats, like Abedeen’s tasty banana tarts and napolitains. As part of the tour, China Town also constitutes an escapade of its own: The Exclusive China Town Food Tour, filled with flavoursome discoveries! In addition, Tastes Buddies offers guided food tours in Mahébourg and Grand Bay.
